Only 3 months to go to our first event, the Big Bang at Santa Pod. Who's up for it?

Your best bet is to call James @ SantaPod and he can direct you accordingly. 01234 782828

Can you clarify please (and I am not trying to cheat) are points awarded to the car or the driver ?, can we have one driver qualifying and one racing ?, could we have two different drivers racing assuming they both have all the licences, memberships, etc

Hi Guys,
I've just had a look at the sprc website with regard to entering their "big bang" meet in April. I was shocked to see that they want 175 quid just to enter. Hang on a minute, but I don't remember the Stones paying to perform any place. Is Santa Pod for real???. It will be us who are providing the entertainment fer Gawd's sake. I couldn't give a rat's ass what anybody else thinks, I ain't paying (bloody rip off...). So I guess, I'll be staying home and depriving all the hardcore muscle fans/addicts (of which I'm one...), the opportunity, of seeing my genuine old school race car, performing afore it's intended audience. Sad state of affairs but it ain't my fault.
Cheers, John

Agree with John ,especially the £45 for electricity is a liberty too far , by the way is there any chance of getting a reply to my rules queries ?,does anyone actually look at this site I am beginning to wonder ? I thought this was the "official "site there seems to be more posts on facebook

You can change drivers during an event, but it doesn't usually happen as the second driver would have to do at least one qualifying run to be able to compete in eliminations. Generally with a team, one driver will compete for the whole of one event.
I don't know if there are any extra fees associated with doing that, but I doubt it.

Regarding the big old debate, which mysteriously got wiped, re. entry fees, that I started on facebook last night. Bev and Rob posted on that, that we were an invited class. If we are, which meetings are we being invited to attend, please. I'm all ears!.

I only learned the thing about having to do at least one qualifying run before you can run in eliminations last year, when a Pro ET team was going to change drivers during qualifying (they didn't in the end). No, I don't work for the Pod. I'm Mrs Tig
